This tree was huge but I think the one at Crown Center was even bigger, unfortunately my camera died!

A gingerbread village! There was a sign that said how much of each ingredient was used (like 150 lbs of sugar)- I wish I would have taken a picture of it, it was unbelievable!

We went to Union Station a week before Christmas and saw their holiday train- so cool and so much fun! While we were there we went to Crown Center as well which was equally as impressive! Both are a new Christmas tradition for the next 4 years! We went to the Bass Pro Shop as well to see their Holiday setup- the kids loved it!! All the REAL stuffed animals were amazing! I guess I had just never really been in a store like that before. Christmas itself was good besides the fact that we were all sick! Eye infections, coughs, congestion... in Gavin's words, "Gross!"

Thanksgiving

I didn't get any pictures at Richard's of actual Thanksgiving dinner of course- I am so forgetful! But I did get some of us at the Plaza lights that night. A balmy 60 degrees too! (They said last year it was 19!) The pictures aren't as impressive as it was in person, but you get the gist. The kids loved the music and the fireworks!

He wanted orange rolls for breakfast- so we put a candle in one for him! Then we went to the JC Children's Museum- we had talked so much about it, Chris had to see it for himself! The kids just LOVE going there- so much to do, and it is all so fun!! Chris is such a good Dad!!!

Gavin LOVES these boots- even though they are 2 sizes too big! He wants to wear them all the time! Chris thinks he looks like a little Ryan! Thank you Aunt Addie!

More fun stuff from Aunt Addie! I guess the ipod was too bright so she needed her sunglasses? Or maybe she is just a fashionista!

I don't know how much brushing he actually does, but he has the got the spitting down to an art!

Halloween

Since the kids were dentists Chris decided he would be their patient (nice teeth huh?). Rielly even took her syringe to the Trunk-or-Treat so that she could give him shots! This year was the first year we went trick-or-treating to actual houses, and Rielly was a little timid at first, but after the first few houses she was good to go (get more candy!)

Liberty Jail

Ready to move!

At the Farm with cousins- it is free on weekdays- I love this place!

KANSAS! I can't believe we are here and Chris has already started Dental School! We are progressing! We have had a lot of fun here and actually really like it, despite the HOT & HUMID air! I have never seen so many bugs, and big ones too! I guess that is what all the years of pest control were preparing us for! We have met so many wonderful people, and we even have a few cousins here!

Park Days

I love when school is out! That means when Chris has a day off work, he actually has the day off to spend time with us! So the first thing that Rielly was dying to do with her dad was show him how much fun the park is!

Gavin turns 1!

Gavin is already one! I cannot believe it! Thank goodness because he was a hard baby! But he is so, so adorable! He really is a happy baby, especially considering all of his trials! He loves to play with Rielly and he is starting to walk! I felt bad that he could only have one little cupcake with no icing, but I put Jam in the middle so it was still sweet! He was unsure at first, but he ate it all up and still wanted more! He liked opening up presents, but his favorite part of the day was just blowing bubbles with Rielly and his cousins, even though the wind was absolutely brutal!

Fun at the Park

Rielly's favorite thing to do is go to the park- especially if her friend Avery is there! Gavin loves it too- although it would be a lot cleaner if he could walk- I guess a little bit of dirt never hurt anyone! :)

Reunion

I couldn't believe how cold it was- I mean it wasn't freezing, but it wasn't the Arizona weather that I had hoped for! We still had some fun times at the park though, just bundled up! Gavin was introduced to graham crackers (thank you Grandma)! And no red spots, hopefully that was just a stage that he has grown out of!

We ALL got together in Arizona! So much fun! I was excited for Rielly to see her cousins, but honestly I think she was just happy to be with Grandma (she has all the candy)! She had fun with her cousins too! Lots of games, food and family- what else is there?

Tessa got pretty dress-up dresses for Christmas so her and Rielly had to play in them! They are so cute together! They had their own table for Christmas dinner too- spoiled or what?

We were blessed to have someone leave presents on our doorstep a couple weeks before Christmas. Seeing the presents everyday got Rielly really excited to open them! But then when Christmas morning came and there was candy in the stocking- all of sudden the presents weren't the most interesting thing! She is her Father's child- nothing wins them over like Chocolate!

Santa?

We went to our ward party where Rielly and Gavin got to sit on Santa's lap. Rielly loves pictures and movies of Santa, but up close she wasn't so sure, in fact she screamed when Chris put her on his lap! But after I got a picture he gave her a candy cane and then she was back to liking Santa. We just had a little tree this year, but that is ok because even that we barely had enough room for!

Ok so I have been really bad about keeping this updated- Rielly's bday was at the beginning of september and i am just posting these! Oh well, that is life! We celebrated her bday like three different times for various reasons- lucky girl! We went to the zoo and made a chocolate cake, got a balloon, and went "driving" at the mall. Rielly tries to get into the driver seat everytime we go to the car now because she wants to drive! What a sweet little 2 year old! Potty trained, sleeping in a big bed, and now she is just all grown up i guess!

Every August we go on vacation with the Steffensen clan to their timeshare in Ruidoso! We are so lucky that Scott and Alyssa have their timeshare because they let us stay with them! Rielly had SO MUCH FUN with her cousins! I think it was almost too much too handle! She just adores Halle, and can't get enough of Tessa- even when they fight she still wants to be around her! We had to put Rielly back in diapers for the week because there was so much going on she just couldn't seem to remember that she was potty trained! Luckily though within an hour after we got home she was going on the toilet again!

We had lots of family support us for Gavin's blessing! Grandma and Grandpa Atkin came, along with Ryan's family and Addie's family! Of course the Steffensen's were all there too- even Landon's family from California! Rielly was so happy to take pictures- can you tell?

Rielly loves her baby brother! She likes to share all of her toys with him, although that means putting them on his face or on top of his head! She even shows him her books! What a great big sister!

Gavin Christian is here! 8lbs 11 oz. He came June 1st and much easier than his sister did! He has been a little yellow though so we try and spend some time in the sun each day. Rielly loves to help with Gavin, and likes that he is around most of the time. She has been sick all week though so that has made it hard!

We had a nice relaxing Easter with the Steffensen Family. We watched conference, ate some good food, and then had an Easter egg hunt for Rielly. She eventually picked up all the eggs and candy, but we took a lot of breaks to eat what she had already found! She likes wearing her sunglasses- just like Mom and Dad! We are in our new apartment too- we love it- and Rielly likes to carry her stool around with her everywhere so she can reach things!

We got an ultrasound yesterday, and it looks like a BOY! We are really excited to have one of each gender! Although Chris is just thinking about all the money we will have to spend buying boy stuff! :) Don't tell him, but I think that will be part of the fun!

Arizona Christmas

So after San Diego we headed to Chandler for Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa! Not quite as warm as San Diego, but still very nice! Rielly loved fluffy (the cat), she wanted to be wherever he was. She got lots of beads and a stroller from Grandma (Chris put it together- that was interesting!) and we got her a purse with fake make-up and a cell phone. She loved it all, although I think it was a little overwhelming at first!

We had so much fun in San Diego! We spent a day at Sea World, a day at the beach, and a day at the temple! Unfortunately I forgot my camera when we went to the temple! But we were there and Mike and Kimi did get sealed! Richard was so nice to let us stay with him and Max in their time share- what a great brother I have!

Expecting

We are pregnant! I am 13 weeks now and due June 7th! We are so excited to have another baby! I haven't felt too bad, but not that good either- ya know, pregnant. I think this one is going to be a little bigger too, I am already in maternity clothes with a nice little tummy! Of course it could be that just I am bigger this time!

Happy Birthday Rielly! We had a butterfly fairy party with Tessa. We made the girls tutus and bought them some wings off ebay. It turned out really cute and was lots of fun.

Rielly Is Walking!

Well she has conquered gravity and learned to walk! For the most part anyway, she still falls a lot and is a little wobbly, but she always gets back up and she is getting faster and better at it everyday!

Ruidoso Vacation!

We had lots of fun in Ruidoso with all the Steffensens! Chris was able to go golfing twice with all the guys, and I was able to go swimming with all the girls! I went without the baby though so I was able to go off the diving board, and go down the slide and feel like a teenager! Rielly loved being with all her cousins, and by the end of the week she was exhausted! Daniel got a workout in by using Rielly and Tessa for a Chest press! :)

Grandma Atkin got Rielly the cute shirt and hat. We had a fun day hanging out with family. Rielly is only 4 days younger than her cousin Tessa. Do you like Rielly's sunglasses? They fit good and she actually didn't take them off right away, I think she liked the red!

She is getting so big! She now has 6 teeth, but she never shows them when I get out the camera! She learned to crawl just before she turned 9 months old (the beginning of June) and now she is everywhere and into everything!
